Plus potential 2 x 12 months extension
Hybrid working arrangement :
Full Time Onsite Requirement – standard 8 hours per day, and 40 hours per week in total.
Flexible Working Arrangements (including remote working arrangements) – Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis against the business requirements of the department and the needs of the immediate work area.

The Department is seeking talented software engineers to join their innovation accelerator program.
The innovation team focuses on adopting industry best practices and emerging technologies, adapting them to our operating environment and demonstrating business value. As they grow, they are looking to bring additional members into the team to help formalise technical patterns, refine process, develop rapid prototypes and support the industrialisation and broader adoption of new technologies and capabilities.
Technology Stack is based on .NET and Azure with many R&D tasks being undertaken in python.
From a technical perspective,
DEWR is looking for people who know how and when to move fast and break things and how to translate novel patterns, tools and capabilities into an enterprise environment in a reliable, scalable, and secure fashion.
DEWR are looking for hands-on software engineers with experience in a variety of organisations and an appreciation for different approaches to problem solving and rapid validation of technical hypotheses.
The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives on working with others, mentoring emerging talent, developing capability in the organisation and capturing learnings in documentation, new patterns, libraries, frameworks and new products.
